ABOUT DR. LACOURSIÈRE
Dr. Ryan Lacoursière was born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Saskatchewan in 1997. From there he entered the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating in 2002 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine with Distinction. With a desire for continued studies, he achieved his Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Alberta. Dr. Lacoursière’s thesis research, was a first of its kind in Orthodontics and has led to publications in Orthodontic research journals worldwide, and a number of subsequent thesis projects.

Dr. Ryan Lacoursière believes strongly in the importance of family values and family time together. He and his wife Chantel, are blessed with three sons, Kiefer, Jared and Blake. As a family they enjoy activities such as golfing, tennis, ballroom dancing, fishing, hunting and spending time with the family’s Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Tikka and their newest addition, a German Shepherd named Captain Rex. Dr. Lacoursière lives an active lifestyle where running, weight training, a passion for martial arts and coaching his sons’ athletic teams are routine. Dr. Ryan, as he is often referred to, is always involved with his local community and school; coaching soccer, baseball and hockey and volunteering at his children's school. He has also served as part-time faculty member at the University of Alberta in the clinical instruction of Orthodontics.
